Our story: a business built around practical support
Star International was founded on 18 February 2017 by Akshit Khanna. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, the company brings together business consultancy and digital support for entrepreneurs and established businesses. Our work is centred on a simple idea: a business owner should understand what is required, why it matters and which action to take next. As we approach our tenth anniversary in February 2027, that practical approach continues to shape how we discuss requirements, prepare information and define a service engagement.
Our founder, Akshit Khanna
Akshit Khanna founded Star International with a focus on helping businesses navigate operational requirements and build their next stage of growth. His business experience informs the company’s emphasis on practical solutions, clear communication and an understanding of the owner’s wider goals. A request for a business identifier, a new website or a company setup often sits within a larger plan. Our approach is to understand that plan before recommending a specific service. We aim to make the discussion useful from the first conversation, with a defined scope and realistic expectations.
Our focus: D-U-N-S consultancy with clarity
This website is dedicated primarily to our independent D-U-N-S application consultancy. We help businesses understand the role of a D-U-N-S number, check whether an existing record may already identify the relevant business, prepare consistent information and understand the official application route. The objective is better preparation and fewer avoidable inconsistencies. A D-U-N-S number is assigned by Dun & Bradstreet; our role is consultancy. We do not issue numbers, represent ourselves as D&B or claim authority to make its verification decisions.
Understanding the business behind the application
Private limited companies, limited liability partnerships, partnership firms and proprietorships do not all follow the same preparation checklist. We begin with the entity’s legal structure, registration country, exact legal name and intended use. We then help identify the records that may be relevant and the differences that need attention. A trading name may differ from a registered legal name. An operating address may differ from a registered address. Resolving those questions before an official request can make the process easier to understand and manage.
A process you can follow
Our consultancy begins with a discussion of your business and the reason you are seeking a D-U-N-S number. We review the information available, explain the proposed preparation work and provide a case-specific scope and quote. During preparation, we help organize records and identify inconsistencies. The application and verification proceed through the appropriate official channel. Where clarification is requested, our agreed scope may include help understanding the query and preparing a response. You retain control of your business information, accounts and official correspondence.
Timelines that come with context
For eligible private limited companies and LLPs, our stated service target is 48 hours after complete documents are accepted. For proprietorship cases, our stated target is seven days. Partnership and international cases receive an individual assessment. These are conditional service targets, not guarantees that D&B will issue a number within a fixed period. Verification questions, incomplete records, working days, corrections and downstream platform updates can extend the overall time. We explain the assumptions relevant to your case before you decide to proceed.
Supporting app-store organization enrollment
We also provide independent consultancy for businesses preparing to create Google Play Console and Apple Developer accounts. Our support focuses on understanding the appropriate account type, reviewing business identity information and identifying details that need to match. Eligibility must be checked separately from the existence of a D-U-N-S record. For example, a proprietorship holding a number does not automatically qualify for Apple organization enrollment. Apple and Google control their respective verification, enrollment and app-review decisions; our consultancy does not guarantee approval.
India-based, with international scope
From our Gurugram office, we provide consultancy for Indian businesses and for businesses in the UAE, United States, Canada, Australia and Singapore. International work begins with the registered entity and its local records. We help distinguish the legal business from a brand, branch or related group company and identify the appropriate regional official route. Requirements and timelines can vary by jurisdiction and purpose, so our India service targets are not automatically applied to an international case.
Business support beyond D-U-N-S
Our wider service offering includes website development, AI automation, GST filing support, income-tax return support and company formation consultancy. These services address different needs and are scoped as separate engagements. A website project starts with the audience, content and business objective. Automation starts with understanding the process and the information it uses. Filing and formation support depend on the business records and applicable requirements. We discuss the relevant work, responsibilities and delivery scope before recommending an engagement.
Clear boundaries and transparent communication
Good consultancy should help you make an informed decision. You can apply directly through official D&B channels without engaging us, and a standard request may be available without an issuance fee through the relevant official route. Our optional consultancy fee is separate. We explain the proposed work and any known dependencies in the written scope. Star International is independent of Dun & Bradstreet, Apple and Google. We do not use third-party names or trademarks to imply an official partnership, accreditation or guaranteed outcome.
Keeping your business in control
Your authorized representative should retain ownership of company email addresses, phone numbers, payment methods and developer accounts. We do not ask you to share account passwords or one-time verification codes. Start an enquiry with your company type, country and intended use; agree an appropriate handling method before sending sensitive documents. Our enquiry form prepares a WhatsApp message for you to review and send. It does not automatically submit an application, make a payment or transfer control of an account.
